The 1-day In-House Abrasive Wheel Practical and Theory course is designed for employee who use or supervise the use of abrasive wheels in their daily tasks. This course covers both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate abrasive wheels and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. It's ideal for industries such as construction, manufacturing and engineering, where cutting, grinding and polishing tasks are performed using abrasive wheels.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to handle abrasive wheels safely, minimising risks of accidents and injuries.
Within the Theory you will cover:
The Provision of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 (EAV & ELV - HAVS calculation).
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. (Dust, fuel etc.).
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 (LEAVs & UEAVs).
